I AM CHANGING

I have lost a total of 9 pounds as of today! Yay me!

FAIL

Alas, I did not get the job that I interviewed for on Monday. They sent me the classic "..Thank you for your interest, but..." letter today. I am really bummed because I thought that I did quite well during my interview and the job sounded like something I would have liked to do, but sadly, someone else was chosen. This now makes 2 jobs turning me down in the past 3 months. Shit, I should consider myself lucky that I even got the interview. I just need a break!

CAMELOT?

Camelot 3000 originally came out in 1982, but I never read it. Back then, I bought comic books with characters that I knew--but there was always something about this title that made me want to look at it. The local comic store would only sell this title to older kids, so I never even had a chance to even look at it.

Much to my delight, DC has released a hardcover edition and it was well worth the $34.99 I paid for it. It just made the legend of King Arthur so cool again to me! I'm glad that I didn't get the book back in '82, because it would have went way over my head. Check this one out!

I LOVE MANDY LANE

ALL THE BOYS LOVE MANDY LANE isn't your typical Hollywood

horror movie. Unlike MY BLOODY VALENTINE, this film has no big stars or special effects. This film isn't a remake of some Asian horror movie nor is it a 're-imaging' of a classic horror movie. MANDY LANE is the type of movie that deserved to be shown in a movie theater, not on DVD. It actually has a story, character development, and a crazy horror movie ending. This movie never made it to Bakersfield, CA. That's sad..

Oh, No! Not Again!

The Quilter is trying to be nice to me tonight. He called me (crying, I might add) and wanted to know if it would be possible for us to be friends. Folks, this is 2009! This Chris is so much stronger than the previous 2008. I am not anyone's puppet or toy. I have friends. Good friends. What makes him think that I would want to be pals with him?

2. A storyline that makes some sense

3. Naked women in 3-D (which is very scary to me)

LEGION

I was so incredibly pleased to see the Legion of Super-Heroes make their live action appearance on Smallville this week. If done correctly, I think that this is something that could work on a regular basis.

MY BLOODY WALLET

Everyone knows how incredibly excited I am to see MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D!! I went down to our local movie theater to check it out the lines and it was packed with people! To my surprise, there was a large sign on the ticket booth that said THERE IS AN
ADDITONAL $2.50 FOR 3-D GLASSES. What the fuck! The average movie ticket is $10.00 already and now the extra charge! I hate Hollywood!

Weight!!

I lost 4 lbs. !!

Oh geez, Thursday is my first "weight in" date. I am currently at 235 lbs. and hope that I have lost at least 3 lbs., but I won't be disappointed if I don't make that goal--because I'm trying to eat better and exercise. It took a while to put on and it will take a while to get off.

3D

I'm really looking forward to seeing MY BLOODY VALENTINE 3D this Friday. So far, the reviews have pretty much said that the movie is the greatest as far as plot, but is a lot of fun when it comes to thrills and chills. I remember going to see the original at the Nile Theater when I was a kid and remember thinking that it was a little slow. Let's hope this is a fun one!

I have officially started my diet as of last night. I even shocked myself by getting on the treadmill today and have even tried to eat more healthy. When I got on the scale this morning, it said that I was 235.5 lb--which is the most I have ever weighed in my life. My goal is to hit 200 lbs, but I would like to see myself at 180 lbs. I just want to be in better shape.

2009

There is going to be some dramatic changes in my life in 2009. I already feel that this is going to be a better year for me. My goals this year are:

1. Go on a diet and lose some weight

2. Exercise

3. Maintain a positive outlook on life

4. Like myself

5. Read more
