I just got home from a NO ON PROP 8 rally. It started at about 5:30 pm and lasted until about 8:30 pm. Personally, I thought there was quite a lot of people at the rally (I should add that I was joined by Alex, Tim, and Paul) and it turned out to be a lot of fun. Here is a list of some of the comments that were shouted to us as we held our NO ON PROP 8 signs:1. Go back in the closet!
2. Faggots! Yes, on Prop 8! You fuckin' faggots!
3. Shame on you! Go to church!
4. What about the kids? I don't 'em gay!
Of course, the real high point of the evening was when a group of young kids spit at us--nearly hitting Paul. Name calling is one thing, but spitting? Yuck. Tomorrow is an important day. I'm excited. Please vote.
